Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Issue triage and troubleshooting of system-level issues
  • Lead issue resolution in coordination with the HW, SW and ME design teams
  • Feed issue resolution back into engineering best practices and system requirements
  • Support system level integration testing plans, requirements verification and compliance
  • Perform/support in-vehicle & breadboard activities when required
  • Manage resolution of architecture issues. Enforce design commonality across concepts
  • Support system DFMEA creation and risk mitigation plans
  • Prepare customer presentations for review
  • Generate engineering design documentation and specifications
  • Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes
  • Assist with discussing and finalizing the DV/PV test requirements between customer and internal validation teams
  • Analyze test data, write detailed reports, and present results and recommendations to engineering management
  • Manage and verify requirements using the appropriate software tools
  • Work with internal and customer teams to define/improve processes

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Technical degree in electrical/mechanical/systems engineering
  • Experience with requirement's management tools such as Jama, Polarion, DNG/ DOORs
  • Issue tracking, and work management with JIRA
  • Vehicle CAN bus troubleshooting with Canalyzer and CAPL
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience with battery pack systems
  • Demonstrated competence in the development of electrical and /or electromechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of automotive specifications for electromechanical systems
  • Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents
  • Strong communication abilities with a preference for working in teams and mentoring engineers
  • A detail-oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills
  • Desire to have ownership of work - we have small teams and fast timelines
