Job description

Are you looking to enter the world of 3D print/metal additive manufacturing? Well, DM3D Technology, LLC is an expanding company looking for experienced machinist to be trained on our proprietary Direct Metal Deposition (DMD)® technology.

DM3D is a leader in laser additive manufacturing with over 30 distinct patents. Our capabilities include state-of-the-art multi-axis deposition equipment, proprietary software and trade secrets which involve extensive material, process knowledge and proprietary recipes. DM3D Technology offers product development, runs production parts and builds customized production ready equipment for its customers. Industries served include aerospace, space flight, automotive, oil & gas, heavy equipment and others.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of Robot/CNC machine operation experience.
  • Experience in laser systems, laser welding, laser metal deposition is desirable.
  • Knowledge of CAM software desirable.
  • Programming experiences a definite advantage.
  • Basic skills in computer, such as using MS word, Excel etc.
  • High school graduation is a must, an Associate’s degree is a definite advantage.
  • Experience in any other machining such as grinding, milling etc is an advantage.

Job responsibility:

  • Operation of proprietary Direct Metal Deposition (DMD®) Machines.
  • Tool path editing using CAM software as needed.
  • Metallographic preparation of samples.
  • Assisting in other machining operations, such as surface grinding, drilling, welding, if required.
  • Problem solving unique solutions for the advancement of a cutting-edge technology.

Job Type: Full-time, 1st and 2nd Shift Positions available

Salary: $24/hour and up commiserate with experience, PLUS Shift Premium.
