Job description

Senior SEO & SEM Content Strategist
Location: St. Louis, MO (In-Office | Hybrid Flexibility Available)
Help Build Brands That Get Found.
At Abstrakt Marketing Group, we're looking for an SEO strategist who loves turning search intent into business growth. If you're the type of marketer who gets excited about keyword opportunities, content strategy, technical SEO, analytics, and watching rankings climb, you'll fit right in.
This isn't a role where you'll simply write blog posts and move on. You'll own strategy, influence results, collaborate with talented marketers, and help shape the online presence of both Abstrakt and our clients.
We're especially interested in connecting with marketing professionals in the St. Louis metro area who enjoy collaborating in person while having the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.
What You'll Do
Every day brings a different challenge. You'll work alongside our Digital Marketing team to develop SEO strategies that generate traffic, improve rankings, and create measurable business results.
You'll:
  • Build SEO content strategies that align with business goals and user intent.
  • Research keywords, topic clusters, competitors, and content opportunities.
  • Create landing pages, website content, blogs, and digital copy that performs.
  • Optimize existing content to improve rankings and conversions.
  • Develop and execute on-page SEO recommendations, internal linking strategies, and technical SEO improvements.
  • Monitor keyword rankings and website performance using SEMrush, Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO platforms.
  • Support Google Ads and digital advertising efforts with compelling messaging and keyword strategy.
  • Identify back link and guest posting opportunities to improve domain authority.
  • Partner with designers, developers, account teams, and digital strategists to launch successful campaigns.
  • Conduct SEO audits for both Abstrakt and client websites and present strategic recommendations.
  • Use analytics, heat maps, and performance data to continually improve website performance.
  • Help train teammates and contribute to evolving SEO best practices across the organization.
What Makes You Successful
You're naturally curious, analytical, and always looking for ways to improve performance. You enjoy digging into data just as much as creating content, and you're constantly learning because search never stands still.
You thrive when you can:
  • Think strategically while executing at a high level.
  • Balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Turn data into actionable recommendations.
  • Write content that both people and search engines love.
  • Collaborate with teammates who enjoy solving complex marketing challenges.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience in SEO, content strategy, digital marketing, or account management.
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, search intent, keyword research, and content optimization.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, WordPress, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with technical SEO concepts including redirects, internal linking, and website optimization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Why Abstrakt?
At Abstrakt Marketing Group, you'll work alongside marketers who love testing ideas, sharing knowledge, and pushing each other to get better. We move quickly, celebrate wins together, and give our team members opportunities to grow their careers-not just their job titles.
If you're ready to make an impact on brands across multiple industries while continuing to sharpen your digital marketing expertise, we'd love to meet you.
Apply today and help shape the future of search marketing at Abstrakt Marketing Group.
