Job description

Director of Marketing Strategy, B2B SaaS & Industrial Technology

Location: Hybrid in The Woodlands, TX preferred. Remote consideration is available for highly qualified candidates not located near our office.

Reports To: President of intelliSPEC

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hybrid schedule with in-office attendance Monday-Wednesday; remote work optional Thursday-Friday. Full-time, 40 hours per week.

About the Role

IntelliSPEC is seeking a hands-on Director of Marketing Strategy to develop and execute our marketing strategy end-to-end. Reporting directly to the President, this is a high-ownership individual contributor role with room to grow into team leadership. You will be the driving force behind how the market discovers, understands, and chooses IntelliSPEC, from positioning, pricing, and journey design to account-based marketing, demand generation, and sales enablement, with direct visibility and influence at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the marketing strategy across the full funnel, reporting progress and results directly to the President. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the account-based marketing (ABM) program: define target account lists with sales, design and execute personalized multi-touch campaigns for key accounts, and monitor engagement, pipeline influence, and account progression.
  • Own and manage the HubSpot instance, including campaigns, workflows, lead scoring, segmentation, and reporting.
  • Build and optimize marketing automation across the funnel: nurture sequences, lifecycle triggers, lead routing, and handoffs to sales.
  • Contribute to pricing strategy by researching market and competitor pricing, modeling packaging and tiering options, and recommending pricing positioning to leadership.
  • Map the customer journey end-to-end, identifying friction points across awareness, evaluation, purchase, and onboarding, and designing campaigns and content for each stage.
  • Leverage AI tools for market research, competitive intelligence, content development, and campaign optimization.
  • Develop positioning and messaging that differentiates IntelliSPEC in the market.
  • Plan and run demand generation campaigns across digital channels, including SEO/SEM, LinkedIn, email, webinars, and industry events.
  • Produce content for technical and executive audiences, such as case studies, white papers, product one-pagers, and website copy.
  • Build sales enablement assets (decks, battlecards, ROI narratives) in partnership with sales.
  • Run product launches and release communications.
  • Track pipeline contribution, CAC, and campaign ROI to continuously refine marketing investment.
  • Establish, track, and report key marketing performance indicators including pipeline contribution, lead conversion rates, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and campaign ROI.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably within SaaS, industrial technology, enterprise software, or similar technical industries.
  • Proven account-based marketing experience: defining ABM strategy and target accounts, executing multi-touch campaigns, and monitoring and reporting on account engagement and pipeline impact.
  • HubSpot proficiency required: campaign management, automation workflows, CRM integration, and analytics/reporting.
  • Hands-on marketing automation experience: designing nurture flows, lifecycle campaigns, and lead scoring models that move prospects through the funnel.
  • Experience with pricing strategy, such as competitive pricing research, packaging and tiering analysis, or value-based pricing recommendations.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping and using it to drive campaign, content, and lifecycle decisions.
  • Proficiency using AI tools for market research and marketing work, including competitive analysis, audience insights, content generation, and research synthesis, with sound judgment on where AI accelerates work and where human review is essential.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills; able to translate technical capability into business value for multiple audiences.
  • Executive communication skills; comfortable presenting strategy, results, and recommendations directly to the President and leadership team.
  • Ability to operate independently in a lean environment: set priorities, ship work, and measure results.
  • Analytical mindset; makes decisions based on funnel data.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.
  • MBA preferred, or equivalent experience demonstrating strategic marketing leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing to industrial, energy, manufacturing, or asset-integrity/inspection sectors.
  • Familiarity with long-cycle enterprise sales motions.
  • HubSpot certifications.
  • Basic design skills (Canva, Figma) and comfort with web CMS tools.

Why Join IntelliSPEC

You will have real ownership of a function where marketing directly moves the needle, reporting straight to the President, with the freedom to experiment and a clear path to building and leading a team.
