Job Title: Production Support Engineer

Location: Cary, North Carolina – Onsite
Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Rate: $25 per hour on W-2

Job Overview

TechAGI Solutions is seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer to support enterprise applications in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in application and production support, DevOps practices, script analysis, Ansible playbook development, and Microsoft security technologies.

This is an onsite position in Cary, North Carolina. The selected candidate will monitor production systems, investigate incidents, automate operational activities, and work with technical teams to maintain application stability, availability, and security.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide application and production support for enterprise systems.

  • Monitor application performance, system availability, scheduled processes, and production alerts.

  • Investigate production incidents and perform timely troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Analyze logs, scripts, alerts, and system behavior to identify the causes of application issues.

  • Read, understand, and troubleshoot existing automation and deployment scripts.

  • Create, update, and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management and operational automation.

  • Support DevOps processes, application deployments, release activities, and environment maintenance.

  • Monitor and investigate security alerts using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel.

  • Work with development, infrastructure, security, networking, database, and operations teams to resolve incidents.

  • Perform root-cause analysis and document corrective and preventive actions.

  • Escalate critical production issues to the appropriate technical teams and track them through resolution.

  • Maintain incident records, troubleshooting guides, operational procedures, and knowledge-base documentation.

  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring support and maintenance activities.

  • Support application availability, reliability, performance, and security in production environments.

  • Communicate incident status, technical findings, risks, and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience in application support and production support.

  • Strong experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.

  • Experience reading, understanding, and troubleshooting scripts.

  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks.

  • Working knowledge of DevOps concepts, tools, and operational practices.

  • Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

  • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel for security monitoring and incident investigation.

  • Strong troubleshooting, incident-management, and root-cause-analysis skills.

  • Ability to analyze application logs, system alerts, and production issues.

  • Understanding of application deployments, configuration management, and release support.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

  • Ability to work onsite in Cary, North Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with production monitoring, alerting, and incident-management tools.

  • Knowledge of Linux or Windows operating environments.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

  • Experience working in enterprise, regulated, or high-availability environments.

  • Understanding of IT service-management and change-management practices.
