Role Descriptions:
PHP Support Engineer
Hands-on PHP engineer providing production support, bug resolution, and performance optimization for web applications. Acts as the technical bridge between engineering and operations - owning issue triage, root cause analysis, and timely fixes in live environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support: Monitor, triage, and resolve PHP application issues across production environments within defined SLAs
Aware of Web Application Development Lifecycle
Bug Fixes & Patches: Diagnose and fix defects in PHP codebases; deploy hotfixes with minimal downtime
Knowledge of tools: Splunk, Tableau
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring failures, document findings, and implement permanent solutions
Code Review & Quality: Review PHP code for bugs, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks
Database Support: Write and optimize SQL queries; troubleshoot database-related application issues (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
