JOB TITLE: EHS & Security Manager May 2026


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The EHS & Security Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at Future Form Manufacturing. This role ensures FFM maintains full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Nevada OSHA regulations, develops and sustains a proactive safety culture across all departments, and manages the EHS team to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

Essential


  • Develop, implement, and manage FFM's comprehensive EHS program, including safety policies, procedures, and compliance documentation in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry, EPA, and Nevada OSHA standards
  • Serve as the primary regulatory interface for all OSHA, NDEP, and EPA inspections, audits, and correspondence; manage agency relationships and ensure timely corrective action on any findings
  • Lead incident investigation processes for all workplace injuries, near-misses, and environmental events; conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Maintain and manage OSHA 300/300A recordkeeping, workers' compensation reporting coordination, and all required environmental permits (air quality, stormwater SWPPP, hazardous waste manifests)
  • Develop, schedule, and deliver safety training programs for all FFM team members, including new hire orientation, OSHA 10/30, forklift certification, lockout/tagout, PPE, hazard communication, emergency response, workplace violence prevention and security awareness.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) across all production departments; identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and drive timely resolution
  • Manage the hazardous materials and hazardous waste program, including chemical inventory, SDS management, labeling, storage, and disposal in compliance with RCRA requirements
  • Oversee the emergency response program including evacuation plans, emergency drills, fire extinguisher inspections, first aid/AED readiness, and spill response procedures
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS KPIs (TRIR, LTIR, near-miss frequency, training completion) to the company president and leadership team on a defined cadence
  • Manage, mentor, and develop EHS team members (EHS Officers, Supervisors, or Coordinators as the team grows); establish performance expectations and conduct reviews
  • Partner with Operations, HR, and department supervisors to embed safety into daily workflows, pre-shift huddles, and production planning processes
  • Maintain the company's ISO 9001 EHS-related obligations and participate actively in Lean/continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage the department EHS budget; evaluate and procure PPE, safety equipment, and training resources within approved spend
  • Oversee and maintain facility security systems including camera surveillance (CCTV), intrusion alarm systems, and related monitoring equipment; coordinate with vendors for installations, repairs, and system upgrades as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related incidents including theft, trespassing, workplace violence, and facility lockdowns; coordinate response with local law enforcement as needed.
  • Administer the facility access control and badging program for all employees, contractors, and visitors, including accurate recordkeeping, timely deactivation upon separation, and periodic audits to verify access privileges remain appropriate and role aligned.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Follow all OSHA safety regulations and those set by Future Form Manufacturing; model exemplary safety behavior and hold all team members accountable to FFM safety standards at all times


REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Essential

  • 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environment
  • Minimum 3 years in an EHS management or leadership role with direct reports
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and directly related experience will be considered.
  • Active Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Registered Environmental Manager (REM) strongly preferred
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification a plus
  • Thorough working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry), Nevada OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, RCRA hazardous waste, and SWPPP/stormwater standards
  • Demonstrated experience managing OSHA recordkeeping (300/300A logs), conducting incident investigations, and implementing root cause corrective actions
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver safety training programs for a diverse manufacturing workforce
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, data analysis, and presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present EHS data clearly to executive leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build credibility and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a shop manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, heat, cold, and moderate to high noise levels
  • Must have normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids)


Beneficial
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, metal forming, or custom manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and integration of EHS into quality frameworks
  • Experience with behavior-based safety (BBS) program development and implementation
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting processes specific to Nevada (NDEP air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste)
  • Experience implementing or managing ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System
  • Proficiency with EHS management software or HRIS systems for incident tracking and compliance reporting
  • Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or Business Administration (MBA)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus given workforce demographics
