Job description

District Director – Security Operations (Multi-Site Leadership)

Unitus Security | Atlanta, GA

Unitus Security, Georgia’s Premier Security Guard Service for Class A commercial and mixed-use properties, is seeking a District Director to lead multiple sites, develop leaders, and ensure operational excellence across a dynamic portfolio.

This is not a desk role.

This is a high-visibility, high-accountability leadership position responsible for overseeing Security Directors, supporting sites without on-site leadership, and ensuring that every location operates at the level our clients expect—and deserve.

We provide security with a hospitality mindset, and we are looking for a leader who can execute at a high level while developing others to do the same.

What You Will Do

As a District Director, you will be responsible for full operational ownership across multiple properties, including:

Multi-Site Leadership
  • Oversee multiple client locations, ensuring consistency in service delivery and compliance
  • Directly manage Security Directors and step in to lead sites without Directors
  • Ensure 24/7 operational coverage aligned with contract requirements
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews
People Leadership amp; Accountability
  • Lead, coach, and develop Directors and site leadership teams
  • Hold teams accountable for attendance, performance, and documentation standards
  • Enforce policies consistently, including uniform, conduct, and reporting expectations
  • Identify and develop future leaders within the organization
Client Partnership
  • Serve as the escalation point for client concerns
  • Build strong relationships with property management partners, including organizations such as CBRE
  • Ensure timely, professional communication and proactive problem-solving
  • Participate in client meetings and property-level strategy discussions
Operational Execution
  • Partner with recruiting to maintain proper staffing levels across all sites
  • Monitor scheduling, overtime, and coverage gaps
  • Ensure all incidents are properly reported, documented, and addressed
  • Maintain alignment between operations, HR, and payroll processes

What We Are Looking For

This role requires someone who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level.

  • Proven experience managing multiple sites or locations simultaneously
  • Experience leading leaders (Directors, Supervisors, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of operations, staffing, and performance management
  • Ability to make decisions quickly in a 24/7, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills across all levels—officers to executives
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and professionalism

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience in security, operations, or a related field
  • Prior experience managing multi-site operations required
  • High school diploma required (college preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites
  • Must pass background check and drug screening

What You Should Expect
  • This is a field-driven leadership role with regular travel between sites
  • Schedules are driven by operational needs, including nights and weekends as required
  • You will be expected to step into challenging situations and lead from the front
  • Success in this role is measured by site performance, client satisfaction, and team stability

Why Unitus

At Unitus Security, leadership is present, engaged, and accountable. Our teams are supported at the property level, and our standards are built around trust, service, and execution.

We don’t just fill posts—we build environments where clients, tenants, and guests feel secure and supported.
