Job Title: Information Technology Solutions Architect
Employment Type: Full-time. This position requires a Permanent Resident or a U.S. citizen.
Location: Rockville, MD preferred; Washington, DC metro area strongly preferred, with travel to customer and partner sites as needed.
About the Role:
ExpediteInfoTech, Inc. (EIT) is seeking a visionary Solutions Architect to lead technical strategy and solution design across our Federal, SLED (State, Local, and Education), and Commercial portfolios. As our primary technical authority for multi-market opportunities, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge technical execution. You will be the architect behind winning proposals (RFI/RFP, etc.) and the technical lead for scalable, secure solutions in Cloud Modernization, Cybersecurity, AI/ML, and Enterprise Platforms.
Core Responsibilities:
Technical Architecture & Proposal Leadership
Design & Document: Translate complex SOWs and RFPs into detailed technical
architectures, including system diagrams, data flows, and deployment models.
Win Strategy: Partner with BD/Capture teams to develop technical win themes and
discriminators. Lead solutioning sessions and author technical volumes for
multi-market pursuits.
Prototyping: Build Proofs-of-Concept (POCs) and demos to validate Cloud migrations, AI/ML automation, and data platform modernizations.
Technology Focus Areas
Cloud & DevOps: Lead modernization efforts across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform is highly preferred.
AI & Automation: Design Generative AI, NLP, and RPA solutions (UiPath, Appian) tailored for mission-critical government and commercial needs.
Data Strategy: Architect robust data lakes and realtime streaming platforms (Snowflake,
Databricks) with a focus on governance and interoperability.
Enterprise Platforms: Lead integrations for Oracle EBS (Federal Financials),
Oracle Grants Management, Salesforce, and custom full-stack software engineering projects.
Qualifications
Required:
Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or IT (Master's preferred).
Experience: 12+ years in solution architecture or technical leadership within IT services/government contracting.
Market Knowledge: Proven track record in at least two markets (Federal, SLED, or Commercial).
Technical Depth: Deep expertise in writing solutions for multiple Cloud (AWS/Azure), Cybersecurity, AI/ML, RPA, Oracle Federal Financials, Microservices, and modern dev stacks (Java, .NET, Python).
Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% for client workshops and site visits.
Preferred:
Certifications: AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, CISSP, PMP, or SAFe.
Domain Expertise: Experience with missions related to HHS, DOJ, VA, DHS, Defense projects, etc.
Background: Previous experience with Tier 1 Systems Integrators.
