Assistant Property Manager – LIHTC / Section 8 Community

Grow Your Career in Affordable Housing Property Management with a professional organization that values teamwork, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Key Assistant Manager responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily operations of a mid-sized LIHTC/Section 8 property
  • Answer phones and respond to resident and prospect inquiries
  • Conduct property tours and assist with leasing apartments
  • Support oversight of maintenance and leasing personnel
  • Assist with monthly reports, compliance tasks, and property inspections
  • Help manage rent collection matters and maintain resident files
  • Address resident concerns and assist with resolving internal and external issues involving residents, vendors, and staff
  • Maintain compliance with affordable housing guidelines and company policies
  • Deliver excellent customer service and help foster positive resident relations

Assistant Manager Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of property management experience required
  • 1 year of LIHTC and Section 8 experience
  • Prior staff management experience or leadership ability preferred
  • RealPage/OneSite experience is a plus
  • Strong customer service, communication, organization, and leadership skills required
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced property management environment
