Will be responsible for managing support functions for the office and provides executive level assistance to the Senior Staff Executive Member. Receives telephone and personal callers, screening those that can be handled by other than the supervisor. Prepares, compiles, and distributes correspondence report. Takes and transcribes minutes of various meetings. Will prepare and maintain office travel. Responsible for Directors calendar and schedules. The Secretary maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the supervisor and staff, works fairly independently receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance, and performs various clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office.
