Job description

A Day in the Life:

Hertz's External Financial Reporting team is responsible for completion and filing of all periodic and annual reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission (10-Q's/10-K's). This team is also involved in preparation and validation of other ad hoc reports such as 8-K's, offering memorandums, and registration statements. The Sr. Accountant - SEC Financial Reporting plays a critical role in executing many aspects of such reporting.

We expect the salary range to be around $95,000 to $115,000; the actual salary will be determined based on years of relevant work experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Preparation of schedules and disclosures used in the quarterly and annual financial statements, footnotes and Management's Discussion & Analysis and other reports, as required
  • Complete tie outs of financial data to supporting documentation
  • Completion of GAAP and SEC reporting checklists
  • Compliance with SOX controls over financial reporting
  • Review XBRL associated with the company's filings
  • Compliance research and documentation
  • Special projects as requested

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • CPA or CPA eligible
  • 3 years public accounting or 4-6 years industry accounting
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Oracle and Workiva experience
  • Highly skilled in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Must be analytical, detail-oriented and self-motivated team player with an ability to build relationships across various departments
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently
  • Must be able to work independently and troubleshoot issues
  • Must have a sense of urgency and effectively work in an environment with multiple and frequently concurrent deadlines
  • Must be able to provide a timely, accurate and complete work product
