The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing external reporting with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations for the Enterprise Financial Reporting (EFR) group. This role plays a key part in the company’s external financial reporting process and supports leadership with accurate and timely financial data. This role also acts as the primary point of contact for company-wide reporting functions related to quarterly close deliverables.  This position reports directly to the SEC Reporting Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K’s
  • Reconcile financial data and prepare supporting schedules for SEC filings
  • Assist in drafting footnote disclosures and Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A)
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly close processes, including the preparation of consolidating journal entries
  • Support SOX compliance efforts through documentation of internal controls and support internal and external audit cycles
  • Conduct technical accounting research to assess the impact of new accounting standards, SEC regulations, and evolving business requirements
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to reflect current standards and practices
  • Prepare standard monthly and quarterly reporting for senior management, along with ad hoc financial analyses
  • Assist with statutory financial statement preparation and audits
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 4-6 years in accounting and/or auditing experience; Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Hyperion is a plus
  • Advanced analytical, systems, and accounting skills (strong understanding of U.S GAAP is a plus)
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with senior management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships across departments and with external vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility
  • Experience/knowledge of process improvement techniques is a plus
