Senior Associate Financial Reporting - JLL

As a Senior Associate Financial Reporting on JLL's Controllership team, you'll play a vital role in delivering accurate, compliant financial reporting that supports our position as a global leader in commercial real estate services. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Prepare and review quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) financial statements filed with the SEC, developing comprehensive support workpapers that withstand internal and external audit scrutiny while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Lead XBRL tagging efforts for SEC filings, maintaining technical precision in financial data presentation and staying current with evolving reporting requirements
  • Execute the quarterly global balance sheet analytics process, partnering directly with global business segment leaders to analyze variances, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights into financial performance
  • Own critical global corporate accounting processes by recording journal entries for current period activity, ensuring proper account reconciliation and maintaining the integrity of JLL's consolidated financial records
  • Support external reporting deliverables including the annual proxy statement, quarterly earnings releases, and investor supplemental slides, translating complex financial information into clear, stakeholder-ready communications
  • Maintain and document Sarbanes-Oxley controls, performing testing procedures and ensuring continuous compliance with internal control requirements across all assigned processes
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives on an ad-hoc basis, bringing technical accounting expertise and process improvement thinking to cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with minimum 1-3 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
  • CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure (must be in progress)
  • Demonstrated experience preparing or supporting SEC financial statements (10-K, 10-Q) and associated disclosure requirements
  • Strong command of US GAAP and SEC reporting regulations, with practical application of technical accounting principles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience at Big Four or regional public accounting firm, with exposure to SEC registrant clients and external audit methodologies
  • Background working at one or more SEC registrants with international operations, bringing familiarity with multi-jurisdictional reporting complexities
  • Hands-on experience performing accounting and financial reporting disclosure research using Intelligize, Workiva, or similar technical research platforms
  • Understanding of XBRL taxonomy and tagging processes for structured financial data
  • Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance frameworks, internal controls documentation, and process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of enterprise financial systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP platforms) and financial consolidation tools
  • Track record of identifying process inefficiencies and implementing solutions that enhance accuracy, efficiency, or control effectiveness

Estimated compensation for this position:
