Essential Functions:
  • Increase customer sales in accordance with objectives
  • Prospect assigned territories for new sales leads
  • Implement seasonal re-sets in customer produce departments
  • Direct, teach and implement the building of special produce displays
  • Supply and educate customers and produce managers with point of sale and point of purchase materials
  • Coordinate with outside and inside reps on budget, gross profit, sales and strategic goals for Indianapolis Fruit
  • Conduct annual customer reviews, including category review, product performance, SKU additions & reductions and seasonal sales planning
  • Complete all ordering and pricing in a timely manner

Education & Experience:
  • Related college coursework and at least 3 years successful fresh produce management experience in sales, buying or merchandising for large wholesale distributors or retailers
  • Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, produce industry software and common E Mail systems are required
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Maintain insurability on company's commercial auto insurance program

Compensation:
  • $50,000 - $70,000/Year

Physical Demands:
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Travel by driving auto or by flying commercially as needed and required (includes overnight)
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time
