Position: Racquets Receptionist
Wage Class: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Racquets Director
Department: Racquets
Wage: $17 per hour

Summary

Rehoboth Beach Country Club is seeking a Racquets Receptionist to support daily operations of the Racquets Department throughout the season. This role serves as the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and efficient experience both on and off the courts.

The Racquets Receptionist plays a key role in scheduling, member services, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the racquets facilities. This position is ideal for a friendly, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.

Essential Functions
  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for members and guests within the Racquets Department. 
  2. Greet members warmly and assist with court reservations, program sign-ups, and general inquiries. 
  3. Accurately charge member accounts for lessons, clinics, merchandise, and other racquets-related services. 
  4. Maintain daily schedules for court usage, lessons, clinics, and events. 
  5. Support Racquets Professionals with administrative needs and daily operations. 
  6. Assist in creating and distributing flyers, schedules, and promotional materials for racquets programming. 
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the racquets facility, including both indoor and outdoor areas. 
  8. Sweep courts and assist with general court upkeep as needed. 
  9. Fill and maintain water coolers and ensure hydration stations are stocked and presentable. 
  10. Monitor overall facility presentation, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at all times. 
  11. Assist with racquets events, socials, and tournaments, including check-in and member coordination. 
  12. Communicate effectively with Racquets staff to ensure smooth daily operations. 
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Racquets Director. 
Expectations
  1. Maintain a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor with all members and guests. 
  2. Provide a high level of customer service aligned with the Club's "Talon Tribe" culture. 
  3. Demonstrate strong attention to detail in scheduling, billing, and facility upkeep. 
  4. Dress in a neat, clean, and appropriate manner in accordance with Club standards. 
  5. Be punctual and reliable, arriving on time for all scheduled shifts. 
  6. Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and events. 
  7. Remain calm and accommodating in busy or high-volume situations. 
  8. Take initiative in keeping the facility organized and supporting team operations. 
Environmental Demands
  1. Work is performed both indoors (reception area) and outdoors (tennis courts). 
  2. Exposure to heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions. 
Intellectual Demands
  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  2. Basic computer skills and ability to learn Club systems (Jonas experience a plus). 
  3. Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced front desk environment. 
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  5. Tennis knowledge or experience preferred but not required. 
  6. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team. 
Physical Demands
  1. Extended periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility. 
  2. Ability to lift and carry up to 25-30 lbs. occasionally (coolers, supplies, etc.). 
  3. Frequent bending, reaching, and light physical activity.
