We are seeking a Life Sciences Program Manager for Isolere Bio, a division of Donaldson and home to the proprietary IsoTag™ technology-a bioprocessing purification solution that delivers better-than-affinity performance without the chromatography column. The company offers a growing portfolio of purification solutions for a wide range of biologics and other viral particles. This high-visibility role will lead and manage the product development and commercialization processes through stage gates, managing risks, scope, schedule, communications and alignment as we expand our offerings and bring differentiated technologies to market. This role will also be responsible for leading the organization's continual improvement efforts.
Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Durham, NC office.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Utilize project management and team leadership skills to drive New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from inception through implementation and completion.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, working across different functional teams and managing projects with external manufacturing partners and service providers.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization, requiring strong communication and leadership skills, combined with experience in R&D and project management.
  • Define, maintain, and implement project management methodology, including processes, tools, metrics, and policies to ensure efficiency, quality, and business success.
  • Manage and communicate changes in alignment with change management plans to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts.
  • Communicate project status and progress to management, including senior leadership, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to the larger organization on project management best practices, running the day to day project portfolio to ensure milestones, targets and commitments are met, utilizing RACI matrix, probability/impact risk logs and mitigation strategies, scheduling tools, and process compliance.
  • Address program issues by identifying effective courses of action that consider constraints and objectives to enable continued progress.
  • Perform follow-up tasks on projects and related activities, encouraging collaboration, defining roles, assessing skills, providing mentorship, and handling conflicting priorities.

TRAVEL: Up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering, life sciences or a related field.
  • 5+ years of program management experience, preferably in product development for the Life Sciences supplier sector
  • 3+ years of leading multiple projects and teams across a matrixed organization
  • Experience with stage gate product development and product commercialization processes

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or PMP certification
  • Continual improvement, lean six sigma, process improvement experience
  • Tech transfer experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Planning, Project, Teams, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong documentation and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse leaders, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to balance long-term (strategic) and short-term (tactical) decision implications
  • Excellent critical thinking and conflict management skills
