School health professionals are individuals who work within educational settings to promote and protect the health and well-being of students. This includes school nurses, health educators, counselors, and sometimes social workers who provide health services, health education, and support for both physical and mental health needs. They play a vital role in managing chronic conditions, administering medications, handling emergencies, and educating students and staff about healthy behaviors. Their work helps ensure a safe and healthy environment, enabling students to succeed academically and socially.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a school health professional?

To thrive as a School Health professional, you need a strong background in nursing or public health, often requiring an RN license and sometimes a School Nurse Certification.
