Second Shift Behavioral Health Technician Guardian Recovery – Montville Adolescent Center Location: Towaco, NJ Pay ranges from $20/hour to $23/hour based on experience. Second shift schedule 3pm to 11pm (at least rotating weekend shifts required)

About Guardian Recovery – Montville Adolescent Center: We provide specialized mental health treatment and therapy for teens in Morris County, New Jersey, supporting adolescents and children under 18 who struggle with behavioral challenges, mental health disorders, and substance use disorders. Proudly serving New Jersey families, our compassionate child counselors, therapists and teen treatment programs deliver evidence-based individual and group counseling, coping-skill development, academic and vocational guidance, and family involvement through assessment, therapy, and support groups. Designed to make behavioral health treatment effective, engaging, and age-appropriate, our programs help your child build resilience and healthier habits.

Position Description:

  • The purpose of the BHT is to assist in providing a safe environment for individuals while they are in the program.
  • Assists in the admission process, answers client questions and assists client in adjusting to the program routine.
  • Acts the liaison between the client and the staff to report any changes in the clients physical or mental condition.
  • Responsible for supervising clients with emphasis on client safety and wellbeing.
Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:

  • Candidates ideally have professional experience or informal personal experience in supporting individuals in mental health wellness and/or substance use recovery, but this is not required.
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug test is required.
  • Completed GED or Highschool Diploma is required. Additional education or certifications related mental health is preferred.
  • Current CPR card (we can help you obtain this or recertify once you start).
