Job description

The Schedule Coordinator checks patients pre-scan to ensure that, authorization (if needed) is obtained, order is compliant, and the exam is scheduled properly. Works to optimize schedules by rescheduling patients who aren't cleared and filling empty exam times with cleared patients. Acts as a coordinator between the Operations, Scheduling, and Retail Revenue teams.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Check patients pre-scan to ensure that, authorization (if needed) is
    obtained, order is compliant, and the exam is scheduled properly.

  • Maximizes efficiency and optimization of site schedules.

  • Act as a liaison between scheduling and other departments.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma orequivalent experience required.

  • 1-2 years' experience in medical or related field required.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Experience in the medical field- Front Desk, Scheduling, Eligibility/Authorization

Preferred:

  • Medical terminology.

  • Experience as a scheduler in a multi-modality environment

  • Background with scheduling systems like Erad, Intergy, Fuji, etc.

  • Experience utilizing scheduling systems like eRAD, Intergy & Fuji.

Physical Requirements:

Standard office environment.

More than 50% of the time:

  • Sit, stand, and walk.

  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs.

  • See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time:

  • Stoop, kneel or crawl.

  • Climb and balance.
