Job Description
As the Engineering Manager for Structural Engineering & Competence Development, you will lead the global development of engineering competencies across AT-PAC's Application Engineering teams. You will also serve as the global lead for Structural Engineering, responsible for setting standards, building capabilities, and supporting complex project applications worldwide. You may be located in Europe or the US for this role.
As a key member of the Corporate Engineering Management Team, you will contribute to shaping and implementing the global engineering strategy in collaboration with regional and corporate stakeholders.
Leadership & Management
  • Coach and mentor engineers globally within your scope.
  • Act as a role model for AT-PAC's strategy and UAG Guiding Principles.
  • Collaborate with Corporate and Regional Engineering leaders to align on goals and execution.

Training Concept Development
  • Assess current competence levels and define target profiles with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement onboarding programs, training modules, and engineering standards.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions globally, including "train-the-trainer" initiatives.
  • Build a client training strategy and support regional training plans.

Knowledge Management
  • Create and maintain a global framework for knowledge and competence management.
  • Implement tools to assess individual engineering skills.
  • Establish expert networks and a global project/solution database.

Structural Engineering Leadership
  • Provide expert support for complex projects, including structural calculations and technical documentation.
  • Define and maintain global standards, incorporating regional codes (NAM, EU, AUS).
  • Manage structural engineering software tools and deliver training modules.
  • Develop technical content for documentation and establish a global key user network.

Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in scaffolding design and structural calculations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural engineering software such as RFEM, RSTAB, or similar.
  • Experience in training development and execution is a strong advantage.
  • Skilled in defining engineering guidelines and standards.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
