Job Summary:

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Salvage PCB Specialist POC to support Point of Care Meters manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for reviewing printed circuit board assemblies for salvage and repair, refurbishing assemblies as needed, and performing testing using Windows-based applications. The Salvage/PCB Specialist will use small hand tools, soldering equipment, overhead torque drivers, computers, and related equipment while following established salvage and test procedures. This position will also support continuous improvement initiatives and may work with potentially biohazardous material.

Responsibilities:

• Review printed circuit board assemblies for salvage and refurbish as necessary.
• Use small hand tools, soldering equipment, overhead torque drivers, computers, and related equipment.
• Perform device testing using Windows-based applications.
• Read, follow, and explain procedures used for salvage and test activities.
• Recognize defects and apply a strong understanding of quality control requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervision and engineering regarding issues, procedures, and work status.
• Understand and complete paperwork accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Interact effectively with co-workers, management, engineering, and quality control personnel.

Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant manufacturing or production experience required.
• Soldering certification required.
• Ability to read and speak English required.
• General mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to work using a microscope required.
• Experience with hand soldering per IPC standards required.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, soldering equipment, and computers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervision, engineering, quality control personnel, and coworkers

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to [25–50] pounds as required.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, or climb as needed.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., noise, temperature, equipment).
• Ability to operate tools, machinery, or technical equipment.
• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Work Location: 165 Lexington Road, Billerica - work schedule on-site in 6:00am - 2:30pm 5 days/week on-site

Targeted Salary Range: $26 - $28 / hr
