Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive, Middle Market to join our team and accelerate growth in our mid-market payments segment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sales, with deep expertise in the payments industry and a proven ability to engage and close mid-market accounts.
As a hunter, you'll generate high-value opportunities, build strong client relationships, and maintain a robust sales pipeline. You'll leverage your network of referral partners, existing clients, and prospects to drive new business and expand our market share with customers with annual sales in the $20MM -$250MM space, processing $20MM per year and up.
Mid-market businesses are a critical growth engine for our organization, representing a segment with complex payment needs and significant revenue potential. By engaging directly with C-level executives, you will influence strategic decisions that shape how these companies manage payments, optimize cash flow, and scale globally. Your ability to deliver tailored solutions and act as a trusted advisor will not only drive new business but also strengthen our position as a leader in the payments industry.
This position requires a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently while collaborating closely with the broader sales team and senior leadership. You'll play a critical role in executing strategic sales initiatives, identifying new revenue streams, and contributing to the overall growth of the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • External Ambassador for Paysafe Solutions: Proactively develop and manage a pipeline of mid-market leads and prospects. Present Paysafe's payment solutions in a compelling, structured and professional manner to potential clients.
  • Sales Execution: Drive new business through cold calling and networking, leveraging existing relationships. Negotiate deal terms and close high-revenue opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strategic Selling: Collaborate with internal teams to refine selling methodologies and implement referral strategies. Share successful approaches across teams to support broader team success.
  • Client Engagement & Communication: Build and maintain strong client relationships by educating them on product features, new offerings, and industry trends. Provide ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction and long-term growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive offerings and industry trends within the mid-market space. Stay informed of regulatory changes and evolving client needs to inform sales strategy.
  • Product Expertise: Develop deep knowledge of Paysafe's payment technology and services. Effectively communicate product capabilities to address specific client requirements.
  • Salesforce & Pipeline Management: Use Salesforce and other tools to manage the full sales cycle, track pipeline progress, and report on sales activities and outcomes with accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, required.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years' experience in a highly functioning sales role, required. Experience within the payments or merchant services industry, with a focus on mid-market clients, preferred.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to build and close sales pipelines, consistently secure high-value accounts, and meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of payment processing and merchant services industry. Experience with Fiserv and the Clover product set and value proposition is highly preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to engage clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess market trends and customer needs, develop actionable strategies, and drive business growth.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred) and sales analytics tools to track and optimize performance.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, results oriented, and capable of working independently. Committed to achieving sales goals and expanding territory reach.
  • Complex Deal Management: Navigate extended sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers and cross-functional stakeholders. Coordinate with internal teams and client leadership to align on strategic objectives, ensuring timely progression and successful closure of high-value deals.
