Job description

Section 1: Position Summary

The Salesforce Software Engineer roleis responsible for software development within Ascensus's Salesforce program.The Salesforce Software Engineer works closely with the team's product owner, engineering team and business tounderstand business needs anddevelop technical solutions in Salesforce Service Cloud. This role also collaborates withProgramArchitects,Application architects, DevOps engineers, and developers to promote innovation, integration, reusability, stability, scalability,and consistency across our Salesforce program.

The Salesforce Software Engineer provides delivers software in accordance with established architecture direction, and Salesforce best practices.Successful candidates will bring a passion for quality and continuous delivery, as this role is critical to the success of our teams and program.

This role also researches new technologies and toolsto remain abreast of current and emerging technologies and introduces new opportunities for innovation and modernization of our Salesforce Service Cloud program.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes strong alignment with Product Owners to understand and deliver on road maps
  • Utilizes standards,proofs of concept, and templatesto produce high quality software
  • Participates in project discussionsto remove technical impediments, andassists in establishing estimates
  • Performs design anddevelopment for complex tasksas an active contributor to the project pipeline
  • Collaborates withApplication Architects and Program Architects to identify, develop, and test the best possible solutions
  • Takes ownershipand provides technical leadershipwhen production issues arise requiring software engineering expertise
  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned

  • Analyze, implement, test, document and maintain new and current software applications with minimal oversight in support of achieving the business goals.
  • Assist in estimating and planning throughout the software development life cycle.

  • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Software Engineering experience withexperience in a Salesforce role implementing Service Cloud
  • Knowledge of Lightning Web Components, Apex, JavaScript, jQuery, and JS Frameworks
  • Experience in Salesforce development
  • Experience in Salesforce integrations
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent technical skills with deep knowledge of development technologies and tools
  • Excels in a results focused organization
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, ContinuousIntegration, Continuous Delivery, and related tools
  • Experience with server configuration, pipeline automation,andsoftware engineering practices
  • Possesses an innovative and change-oriented personality that balances well with practical need and delivery
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
