Salesforce Business Analyst

Reports To: Vice President, IT & EP OEM Parts

Location: Madison, WI

Role Summary

The Salesforce Business Analyst serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical Salesforce team. This person is responsible for understanding business needs, translating them into clear requirements, and delivering solutions through declarative (no-code) configuration. The role is stakeholder-facing and ensures the team is building the right solutions to solve real business problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Map and document existing and future-state business processes.
  • Configure Salesforce using declarative tools: flows, validation rules, page layouts, custom fields and objects, reports, and dashboards.
  • Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including writing test scripts and managing stakeholder sign-off.
  • Partner with the Salesforce Developer to scope and hand off requirements that need custom code.
  • Provide day-to-day end-user support, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Maintain documentation, data quality standards, and release notes.
  • Support project planning, enhancements, and ongoing system improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or Administrator.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201) required.
  • Strong knowledge of declarative Salesforce configuration (Flow, reports, dashboards, security model).
  • Proven ability to gather requirements and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with UAT, process mapping, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Business Analyst or Advanced Administrator certification.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
  • Experience coordinating work with offshore development teams.
