Manager, Business Intelligence & Market Insights

Position Summary

The Manager, Business Intelligence & Market Insights is a critical member of the Market Strategy team, responsible for producing high-quality market intelligence that enables Quanta's Commercial Operations (Sales) and Leadership teams to identify, prioritize, and pursue transmission and energy infrastructure opportunities. This role owns the research, analysis, and structured deliverable production that translates market and planning activity into actionable commercial insight.

Working closely with the Director of Market Strategy, this Manager serves as the primary analytical engine of the BI function, processing raw planning data to building and maintaining the opportunity pipeline in Salesforce, and ensuring Commercial Operations teams are consistently informed with accurate, well-organized market intelligence.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence & RTO/ISO Analysis

  • Monitor, research, and analyze transmission planning activity across major RTOs/ISOs including PJM (RTEP), MISO (MTEP), SPP (ITP), CAISO, ERCOT, ISO-NE, and NYISO
  • Translate RTO/ISO planning documents, project lists, and study cycle outputs into structured Excel workbooks and PowerPoint summaries for leadership
  • Track and report on project-level data
  • Monitor FERC policy developments, state regulatory activity, and industry trends relevant to Quanta's transmission and power delivery business

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Own the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of market opportunity data within Salesforce and related BI tools
  • Partner with Commercial Operations to capture opportunity updates, next steps, contacts, and pipeline status; ensure CRM reflects current market reality
  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks that give Sales, Operating Units, and Leadership a consistent, reliable view of the transmission opportunity landscape
  • Facilitate pipeline review meetings including agenda preparation, action tracking, and follow-up documentation

Deliverable Production & Communication

  • Produce recurring and ad hoc market intelligence deliverables
  • Communicate market signals, RTO/ISO updates, and emerging opportunities clearly and concisely to Sales and Leadership audiences
  • Support the Director in developing strategic framing and context for major planning cycle releases

Team & Process Development

  • Serve as a day-to-day resource and subject matter guide for the BI Coordinator, ensuring data inputs are accurate and workflows are efficient
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, file libraries, and naming conventions across SharePoint/Teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase the speed, accuracy, and reusability of BI outputs
What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in market strategy, business intelligence, research, or commercial analytics
  • Direct experience in the energy, utility, transmission, or EPC/infrastructure sector required
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze RTO/ISO planning documents and translate findings into structured, audience-ready deliverables
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience building or maintaining PowerPoint presentations for Sales or Leadership audiences
  • Hands-on CRM experience (Salesforce strongly preferred) including pipeline management and opportunity tracking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with FERC Order 1000 competitive solicitation processes, ROFR designations, and TO/incumbent project structures
  • Experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools
  • Exposure to Salesforce reporting and dashboard configuration
  • Prior experience supporting a Commercial Operations or Sales organization in a market-facing role
