The Role 

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Data Architect to design, govern, and optimize enterprise-grade data architectures across Salesforce platforms. This role is critical to ensuring data quality, scalability, security, and analytics readiness across complex Salesforce ecosystems, including integrations with ERP, marketing, and external data sources. 

You will partner closely with Solution Architects, Developers, and Client Stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data models and integration strategies that support reporting, automation, AI readiness, and long-term platform health. 

What You'll Be Doing 

Data Architecture & Design 

  • Design and own Salesforce data models across core clouds (Sales, Service, Financial Services, Consumer Goods) 
  • Define object models, relationships, field strategy, and data lifecycle management 
  • Ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with Salesforce best practices 
  • Lead data governance, naming conventions, and standards 

Data Migration & Integration 

  • Architect and oversee data migrations from legacy systems (ERP, CRM, custom databases) 
  • Define strategies for data synchronization, deduplication, and master data management 

Data Quality & Governance 

  • Establish and enforce data quality frameworks (validation, deduplication, enrichment) 
  • Partner with stakeholders on data ownership, stewardship, and compliance 
  • Support regulatory and security requirements (PII, GDPR, role-based access) 

Analytics, Reporting & AI Readiness 

  • Design data structures optimized for Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and analytics 
  • Enable downstream use cases for Einstein, AI, and advanced analytics 
  • Support Data Cloud and Customer 360 initiatives where applicable 

What You Bring 

  • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce platforms, including 3+ years in a data-focused role such as Data Architect or Senior Data Specialist 
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce object modeling, schema design, security model, and data access controls, governor limits. 
  • Proven experience with data migration strategies and tools, as well as supporting multi-system, enterprise-level environments 
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations using REST and SOAP APIs 
  • Experience with ETL and middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Talend, or Informatica 
  • Advanced SQL and data analysis skills 
  • Experience handling large data volumes. 
  • Knowledge of data modeling tools (ERWin, Lucidchart, etc.) 
  • Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities, with professional written and spoke 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Salesforce certifications such as Data Architect, Integration Architect, Platform App Builder, or equivalent 
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud 
  • Consulting or professional services background 
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP platforms (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar) 
  • Exposure to AI, analytics, or advanced data initiatives within the Salesforce ecosystem
