JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Salesforce Developer

Division or Department: Business Services

Reports to: Director, IT and Infrastructure

FLSA Status: Exempt

Work Location: Hybrid (Must reside in Southern CA area)

Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 (Based on experience)

General Summary:

Actively lead the process for the automation of ISYS’ business processes in order to increase efficiency and productivity in all departments and divisions. Responsible for the development, deployment, technical implementation (including routine coding), and maintenance of ISYS’ highly customized CRM platform in accordance with ISYS’ organizational needs and operational plans.

Proactively train, motivate, develop, and mentor all IT department staff by providing training on Salesforce and other web platforms routinely.

Proactively monitor the health of ISYS’ Salesforce.com platform and equipment to ensure ISYS remains on the cutting edge of software and industry developments in order for all staff to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.

Positively develop and maintain constructive and collegial professional and productive relationships with outside vendors within the Salesforce and web development/programming realm, which will enable ISYS’ continued model as the “Best in Class” within the industry by maintaining our quality and efficiency through technological resources.

Responsible for demonstrating the ISYS brand, “Value of Excellence” motto, “Hug Your Customer” philosophy, and company and department mission statements, while reflecting those concepts in daily tasks and interactions.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and implement the development lifecycle and roll-out process for all Salesforce.com updates, changes and initiatives organization wide with a high degree of quality and accuracy. This includes analysis, design, coding, configuration, testing, and deployment for all projects.
  • Actively collaborate with IT group team members to explore more uses and potential options for further development and leverage for efficiencies within our custom Salesforce application. Collaborate with key stakeholders on the design, plan, and implementation of these customized features.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the purpose and role of each of ISYS’ divisions and its general business model and collaborate with other IT team members to make proactive assessments and recommendations for routine automation and maintenance to improve efficiency.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving user issues for Salesforce.com by performing extensive root cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence of defects and direct them to responsible groups.
  • Create and/or update Requirement, Process, Functional, and Technical documentation.
  • Provide advice and assistance to others in the department on Salesforce administration tasks.
  • Collaborate to manage Salesforce related software, application, and integrations.
  • Perform data quality audits, manage deduplication processes, and support data governance initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on platform performance, user adoption, and project progress using dashboards, analytics tools, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Manage and routinely test organization’s storage, backup and retrieval systems, and strategy in relation to Salesforce.com.
  • Continuously maintain a self-directed and company directed educational plan which enables a consistent forward focused outlook and ensures ISYS stays informed of current trends and industry advancements affecting its web and related platforms. Ensure that all required Salesforce certifications are kept current.
  • Retains current job knowledge by participating in education opportunities hosted by Salesforce and other parties, researching new technologies, subscribing to relevant professional publications, and proactively continuing to expand Salesforce and web development related knowledge.
  • Proactively research and recommend new applications and designs that could be useful in ISYS’ platforms.
  • Provide assistance with special assignments as requested by Executive Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to code in APEX and HTML/CSS.
  • Experience in developing scalable Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Salesforce cloud development environment, including but not limited to: APEX triggers, Salesforce Flow, Process Automations, Validation Rules, Formulas, SOQL, and Visualforce.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, VS Code, and CLI tools.
  • Understanding of security best practices including OAuth, SSO, and permission models.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Detailed knowledge of and ability to act as a Salesforce administrator.
  • Hands-on experience in third-party API integration (REST, SOAP) with Salesforce.com
  • Familiarity with Salesforce applications (AppExchange) and integrations.
  • General understanding and ability to apply ISYS’ practices, policies, protocols, procedures, and philosophies in all areas.
  • Strong reading and writing with excellent understanding of the English language, grammar, and punctuation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to maintain courteous and professional relationships with vendors, customers, and colleagues.
  • Close attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ISYS’ operations, history, brand and values.
  • Honest and open in communication, with a willingness to bring innovative ideas to ISYS’ management staff.
  • Trustworthiness in all areas.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high regard for proprietary business information and knowledge of HIPAA requirements and standards.
  • Understands the importance of Entity (Object) Relationships and how to implement them in Salesforce, via lookups, master-detail, and custom junctions.
  • Able to design and configure security/sharing rules, permission sets, field level security, record level security, roles, and profiles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and collegially, with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize multiple concurrent work assignments and establish priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to work evening or weekends on occasion or in emergencies.
