Job description

Position Summary and Responsibilities:
The primary duty of the part-time Utility Representative is to maintain the beverage lines for On-Premise accounts and document the call using the VIP KARMA App for all accounts. This position is required to clean lines, fix pouring issues and draught problems for its assigned accounts.
  • Build healthy business relationships and establish good communication with our customers.
  • Maintain and clean customers' draught lines serving Ben E. Keith products.
  • Ensure the Company line cleaning standards are met.
  • Use approved eye and hand-ware protection (PPE) is used while cleaning lines.
  • Use the approved caustic line cleaning solution is allowed to soak in all draught lines between 5 - 20 minutes.
  • Ensure that caustic line cleaning solution is flushed from the lines with cool water.
  • Understand the basics of Draught Beer and can install and troubleshoot draught systems as required.
  • Communicate with sales staff any observed opportunities or challenges.
  • Project a friendly, professional image.
  • Prioritize multiple, competing priorities.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Ensure company equipment is in safe, working condition; report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor.
  • Always maintain and keep clean assigned company vehicle.
  • Operate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Remain aware of all Ben E. Keith product offerings and stand ready to offer suggestions at retail when opportunities arise.
  • Always clean up after a line cleaning call.
  • Assist with special event activity in assigned territory.
  • Project a friendly, professional image at-all-times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environment.
  • Must be highly motivated and results oriented, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to perform basic trade math.
  • Must be able to read and understand draught and package code dates.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must be 21 yrs. or older to apply.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
