We are seeking a motivated and customer service oriented individual to join our team as a Building Materials Sales Support specialist. In this role, you connect our products with the professionals who use them, providing vital support to our sales team and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality service. Essential Duties:

  • Desire to learn from experienced sales staff.
  • Assist outside and inside sales representatives by preparing quotes, drafting professional proposals, and sourcing product technical data for client meetings.
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers and handle phone inquiries regarding product availability, lead times, and order status.
  • Develop a working knowledge of building materials to help guide customers toward the right solutions for their projects.
  • Assist customers by preparing quotes, drafting proposals, and sourcing product data for client meetings.
  • Accurately enter and process sales orders into the system, ensuring that delivery dates, product specifications, and pricing are exact.
  • Process returns/credits, and assist with general office duties as needed.

*This position could lead to a commissioned salesperson position once experience is gained.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical products to a non-technical audience.

  • Must be able to remain on your feet for extended periods while assisting in the showroom or checking inventory in the yard.
