Schraad Sales & Marketing Food Brokerage is seeking a full time administrative Sales Support Representative in our Des Moines office. This role is an in-person position with hybrid remote potential.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:

The administrative Sales Support Representative is responsible for professionally managing client accounts and providing support to Business Development Managers, Customer Account Managers and Retail Operations ensuring client, customer and company expectations are met. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage, process, and reconcile claims and deductions in a timely manner to prevent brokerage deductions.
  • Prepare contracts and track spending activity for client planning and promotions via on-line customer portals.
  • Process retail contracts / billbacks accurately and timely.
  • Communicate with clients, as necessary, to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders.
  • Communicate all necessary account information to customer category managers to ensure proper handling of new items, promotions, and price changes. 
  • Create new item forms when required.
  • Enter all special pricing for client products into GenWeb order system in a timely manner so that orders are processed correctly without error. 
  • Organize and maintain both paper and electronic files, as necessary.
  • Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business, and direct visitors to appropriate person, as necessary. 
  • Resolve problems in an efficient and courteous manner.
  • Communicate effectively with Corporate Office.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Clock in and out using company online payroll system for time keeping to correctly and effectively report time worked. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Attend all team, and company meetings, as required.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor to the position/department.
  • Follow all company policies, including but not limited to Company Handbook and Travel and Business Expense Reimbursement.

Education and Other Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • PC proficiency and strong skills in Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Language Skills - Fluent English is required.
  • Should be able to type freely and work with computer monitors and keyboards for prolonged periods of time on a daily basis.
  • Must be detail oriented in data entry and relay of information.
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • Some travel may be required.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Hy-Vee and Fareway a plus.
  • Trade Management Systems experience: AR7, Exceedra and Ect a plus.
