Job Title: Field Sales - Outside Sales Associate

(area to include Hanover, Tappahannock and Gloucester)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Day Shift, Full Time)

Pay Rate: $60,000 plus commission + incentives

A Day in the Life of a Field Sales Outside Sales Associate:

  • Providing exceptional service to current customer base while building new business relationships through shop and jobsite visits, over the phone, and through accurate order entry
  • Increasing sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional as well as new products
  • Working cooperatively with other team members, such as coordinating deliveries, communicating customer needs with associates, and other branch operations as needed
  • Following ethical standards and complying with company policies that ensure as safe, friendly, and team-oriented family culture

Required Skills:

  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy. Ability to use Microsoft Office, as well as proficiency in order entry processes using our Epicor Solar Eclipse system, VAMAC's intranet, or other systems as applicable
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms (i.e. in-person, phone, email, etc.)
  • Ability to stand and walk for long duration, as well as lift up to 80 pounds
  • 2+ years experience within the industry is preferred (sales, plumbing, order entry)
