Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving increased outpatient and inpatient utilization of hospital services by engaging and educating key stakeholders, including physicians, office staff, healthcare organizations, employers, and the community-about the full range of services offered and the most effective ways to access them. This role involves proactive marketing within the assigned market area, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding service utilization to support the organization's growth.

The BDM will maintain a pipeline of potential business opportunities, diligently track all outreach efforts and activities, and provide regular updates and reports to leadership. They will collaborate closely with Medical Staff, Directors, Managers, Executives, and office teams to enhance service utilization and strengthen physician engagement. The role requires frequent travel to meet with community partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development and marketing plans aimed at increasing patient volume and attracting new business to the facility.
  • Keep current on market trends, competitor activities, and marketing strategies within the area.
  • Identify proactively new opportunities for growth, leveraging existing networks and developing new relationships to expand market presence.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and corporate teams to develop and promote new programs and service lines.
  • Partner with leadership to set growth targets and ensure accountability for performance and results.
  • Represent the organization in community and organizational programs to foster professional growth and deepen operational understanding.
  • Organize and participate in marketing initiatives such as events, sponsorships, networking, and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate with the corporate marketing team to develop and refine marketing strategies that effectively promote services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support strategic growth initiatives.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of business development experience, preferably within healthcare.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field; or 5+ years of sales/business development experience in Healthcare
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively in a flexible, dynamic environment.
