Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' specific mental health issues, subsequently developing tailored treatment plans that address their unique challenges.
• Provide individual therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting your approach based on client feedback and progress.
• Establish and set therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients, regularly monitoring their progress to ensure effective support and timely adjustments to treatment as required.
• Facilitate teletherapy sessions for clients who prefer virtual appointments or face mobility issues, helping to eliminate barriers to accessing mental health support.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment updates in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development opportunities, staying updated with the latest trends in mental health care and participating in peer consultations to refine your skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults facing various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and end-of-life challenges. Working within the hospice environment entails providing support to clients as they navigate complex emotional experiences related to grief and loss. Your role will help foster resilience and improve quality of life during crucial moments.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license from the state of Arizona: such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively establish rapport and trust with clients.
• Compassionate, non-judgmental attitude, coupled with an empathetic approach to client interactions.
• Organizational skills that allow effective management of caseloads, alongside the timely completion of administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in hospice or palliative care settings, with an understanding of the unique emotional and spiritual needs of clients facing end-of-life issues.
• Proficiency with teletherapy tools and technology, enhancing accessibility and efficiency in delivering care remotely.
