Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Micron is seeking a Technical Solutions Sales Architect to lead early technical engagement with strategic customers and drive design wins for Micron's memory and storage solutions across AI, cloud, and data-center platforms.
This role combines deep system-level technical expertise with commercial acumen. You will work directly with customer architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate workload requirements into differentiated Micron solutions, influence platform decisions well ahead of revenue, and accelerate adoption at scale.
This is a customer-facing technical leadership role with direct accountability for design wins and pipeline impact.
What Success Looks Like
  • Customers view you as a trusted technical advisor and involve you early in architecture decisions.
  • Micron solutions are designed-in as preferred choices, not evaluated as commodities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead early technical discovery with customers to understand workloads, system architectures, and business objectives.
  • Translate customer requirements into end-to-end Micron solution architectures, spanning memory, storage, and system-level design considerations.
  • Influence platform and architectural decisions 12-24 months ahead of revenue to secure long-term design wins.
  • Develop and articulate technical differentiation, including performance, scalability, reliability, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Partner closely with Account Managers and Executives to align technical strategy with commercial objectives.
  • Support value selling and proposal development through executive-level technical communication.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Field Application Engineers to validate feasibility and ensure smooth handoff from architecture to execution.
  • Maintain visibility into design-win pipeline, technical risks, and milestones.
  • Provide ongoing engagement to support solution sustainment, refresh planning, and follow-on opportunities.
  • Translate customer workload requirements into Micron solution roadmaps
  • Shape customer preference toward Micron products
  • Act as a technical bridge between customer decision-makers and internal leaders

Key Deliverables
  • Customer-specific solution architectures and technical proposals
  • Clear technical value propositions tied to customer outcomes
  • Executive-level presentations and architecture reviews
  • Actionable customer feedback influencing product direction
  • Successful handoff of designs into qualification and deployment
  • Enablement to Sales and Customer Engineering on technology and trends
  • Design wins convert into measurable pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Technical clarity reduces customer friction and accelerates time-to-decision.
  • Solutions scale across platforms and customers, not just single engagements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture, systems architecture, or technical sales engineering.
  • Strong understanding of data-center systems, including compute, memory, storage, networking, and software stacks.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AI, HPC, or large-scale cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with emerging system architectures and memory/storage technologies.
  • Demonstrated success influencing customer design decisions and platform roadmaps.
