If you're a strategic relationship builder who enjoys connecting healthcare design, architectural influence, and sales strategy, this could be a great fit for you.

Supporting Meaningful Work
The Architectural Healthcare Sales Consultant serves as the architectural sales leader for Steelcase Health's casework solutions across the Americas. This role partners with regional healthcare sales teams on targeted opportunities to engage early in the planning and design process, influence project direction, and position Steelcase Health as the preferred Basis of Design (BoD) solution.
Rather than focusing on responding to competitive bids, this role is responsible for helping shape opportunities before specifications are written and seeing them through the sales cycle. Working in partnership with regional sales teams, the Architectural Healthcare Sales Consultant provides expertise that helps identify where projects are in the architectural sales process, determine which stakeholders should be engaged at each stage, and develop strategies that improve the likelihood of Steelcase Health becoming the Basis of Design.
Regional healthcare sales teams retain ownership of customer relationships, account strategy, and opportunity management. The Architectural Healthcare Sales Consultant complements those efforts by providing architectural sales expertise, specification strategies, and guidance that helps move opportunities upstream and influence project outcomes before procurement begins.
  • Partner with regional healthcare sales teams to identify and prioritize opportunities where early architectural engagement can influence project outcomes.
  • Assess where each opportunity resides within the architectural sales process and recommend strategies to engage the right stakeholders at the appropriate stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Support regional sales teams in identifying key project influencers and developing stakeholder engagement strategies that strengthen the opportunity to become the Basis of Design.
  • Advise regional teams on architectural selling strategies that increase the likelihood Steelcase Health products are specified before projects enter the bidding phase.
  • Coach and partner with regional teams on specification selling, navigating healthcare design and construction processes, and positioning architectural solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to develop account-specific architectural influence plans that improve specification of success and long-term revenue growth.
  • Provide expertise during design reviews, programming discussions, mock-ups, and specification development to ensure Steelcase Health solutions are effectively positioned.
  • Share architectural market intelligence, competitive insights, and best practices that strengthen the organization's ability to influence projects before they reach procurement.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4 years of experience selling or designing with architectural products, healthcare interiors, casework, or related commercial building products.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare design, planning, and construction process.
  • Experience working with architecture and design firms, healthcare systems, and dealer networks.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to influence complex buying decisions through consultative selling and relationship management.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization while influencing without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel as required across the Americas.
