The Pre-Litigation Attorney position is located in our downtown Chicago office and is a hybrid position after successfully achieving competency in the role. This is a great position for someone just starting their career; we are looking for candidates with 0-3 years of experience.


Summary

The Pre-Litigation Attorney supports the mission and goals of Disparti Law Group by representing our clients’ best interests through their legal journeys and negotiating the settlements with insurance companies. The Pre-Litigation Attorney strives to maximize case values to ensure each client receives a most favorable award possible for the loss.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Pre-Litigation Attorney is responsible for the direction and guidance of the case management team assigned to the attorney.

Essential Functions

  1. Manage all phases of personal injury cases from intake through settlement, maximizing case value
  2. Conduct thorough case investigations to determine liability and damages.
  3. Draft and file legal documents needed in pre-litigation.
  4. Negotiate the most favorable settlements to maximize case value with insurance companies.
  5. Provide exceptional client service, keeping clients informed about the progress of their cases.
  6. Special projects, as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois

In good standing with the Illinois Bar

Excellent legal research skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to exceptional client service

High integrity; strong work ethic

Collaborative leadership skills

Education & Experience

Juris Doctoral degree from accredited school of law

Experience with personal injury claims, with a focus on Pre-Litigation

Preferred legal case management database experience
