Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages in accordance with resort standards while delivering exceptional guest service. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming, fun, and engaging atmosphere for resort guests while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to guests, anticipating needs and enhancing their overall experience
  • Engage guests in a warm, approachable manner reflective of a relaxed outdoor resort environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times
  • Monitor and control inventory, ensuring proper storage, handling, and security of all beverage products
  • Operate POS system and accurately handle cash, credit transactions, and closing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all responsible alcohol service laws and company policies
  • Upsell menu items and promote featured beverages, specials, and events
  • Assist with bar setup, breakdown, and restocking for daily service and special events
  • Maintain high sanitation, safety, and personal hygiene standards
  • Support team members and perform additional duties or special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old (or as required by state law)
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience bartending in a restaurant, bar, hotel, or resort environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
    • Mixology techniques, recipes, and garnishes
    • Proper glassware and presentation standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-first mindset
  • Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 20+ pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, humidity, or cooler temperatures)
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
