Summary of Functions
Responsible for the overall operation, guest experience, financial performance, and operational integrity of the RV Resort. Oversees resort operations, staffing, budgeting, maintenance coordination, and guest satisfaction while ensuring adherence to Kalispel Hospitality standards and Good Sam service expectations. Leads by example in support of Northern Quest Resort & Casino's Core Purpose and Core Values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Internal Controls and Northern Quest Resort & Casino policies and procedures.
  • Exemplifies the Core Purpose and Core Values in all guest and team member interactions.
  • Maintains Good Sam 10/10/10 standards and Kalispel Hospitality service expectations.
  • Participates in the development and administration of RV Resort policies, procedures, goals, and operational objectives.
  • Assists in developing, managing, and monitoring departmental budgets and fiscal performance.
  • Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and operational goals.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels to support guest service, cleanliness, and labor management objectives.
  • Oversees cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards throughout the property.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance to ensure preventative maintenance programs are properly implemented.
  • Ensures Property Management System accuracy and resolves reservation and revenue discrepancies prior to night audit processing.
  • Communicates guest requests and operational information to appropriate departments.
  • Maintains working knowledge of yield management and revenue optimization practices.
  • Supports proper functionality and usage of software applications utilized within the department.
  • Maintains knowledge of Camas Club and VIP Services procedures.
  • Develops team member knowledge and performance through coaching, training, performance feedback, and corrective action.
  • Reinforces Core Purpose, Core Values, Kalispel Hospitality, and Good Sam standards with team members.
  • Conducts routine inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are maintained.
  • Oversees payroll monitoring, scheduling, and labor management processes.
  • Assists with departmental forecasting, staffing allocation, and operational planning based on occupancy and business demands.
  • Monitors inventory controls and purchasing processes.
  • Oversees hiring, coaching, counseling, performance management, and retention of direct reports.
  • Maintains awareness of resort occupancy, arrivals, departures, and operational forecasts.
  • Complies with hotel safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Maintains professionalism and represents Northern Quest Resort & Casino in a positive manner.
  • Empowers team members to resolve guest service opportunities and service recovery situations.
  • Participates in HR training and organizational development initiatives.
  • Protects company assets and ensures guest confidentiality standards are maintained.
  • Oversees inventory counts of linens, supplies, and guest amenities.
  • Monitors guest satisfaction throughout the property and intervenes when necessary to resolve deficiencies.
  • Supports the three pillars of success: Team Member Satisfaction, Guest Satisfaction, and Financial Performance.
  • Maximizes operational efficiency through proficient use of software systems and technology.
  • Assists with RV Resort marketing, promotions, and tactical planning initiatives.
  • Partners with Marketing, Sales, and Catering teams to support guest attraction and event execution.
  • Establishes open communication within the department and across external departments.
  • Maintains compliance with safety standards for chemicals, equipment, and operational procedures.
  • Monitors proper and safe use of building equipment and tools.
  • Shares operational information with other departments to support organizational success.
  • Maintains awareness of current hospitality and RV resort industry trends and practices.
  • Conducts interviews, performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and development planning for team members.
  • Supports responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service initiatives.
  • Resolves guest complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attends required meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintains flexibility to work varying schedules based on operational needs.
  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintains knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws governing operations.
  • Assists with Manager-on-Duty and ambassador-style responsibilities as assigned.
  • Reports illegal activity, ethics concerns, and safety issues to appropriate leadership.
  • Ensures proper cash handling and tip reporting procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of company employment policies and emergency procedures.
  • May be required to participate as a panelist for Internal Review Hearings.
  • Assists operationally within RV Resort, Hotel Front Desk, and Reservations departments as needed.
  • Ensures OSHA compliance within assigned areas.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises approximately three (3) supervisors and five (5) to fifteen (15) team members within the RV Resort operation.

  • Training, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work activities.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and corrective action processes.

Addressing complaints and resolving operational and personnel issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Other Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Washington State Food Worker Card required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Washington or Idaho Driver's License required while operating Tribal vehicles.
  • Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccinations required.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as required.
