About the Role
ThirdChannel is hiring a Tech Representative to support On, the most premium global sportswear brand across a local territory. We're looking for someone with genuine roots in the running community who can deliver high-impact product education and in-store support at retail.
You will own retailer relationships, product training, and brand advocacy across your market in support of On's mission. Store visits run one hour, with locations supported monthly or bi-monthly based on market needs. Success looks like confident, well-educated retail staff, strong brand visibility, and measurable impact on sell-through. You will be expected to build a strong pulse on your territory, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and proactively recommend ways to strengthen On's presence in the running community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Product Expertise & Training

Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of On footwear, apparel, and innovation through education, independent research, product testing, and field experience. Deliver engaging training sessions that educate retail staff on product features, benefits, technologies, and selling strategies, and serve as a trusted product resource for associates and management.
  • In-Store Support

Conduct regular store visits to evaluate product presentation and brand visibility. Capture photos and submit detailed visit reports through the ThirdChannel platform, and gather feedback from retail staff and customers to share with internal teams.
  • Brand Advocacy

Represent On with professionalism, enthusiasm, and authenticity. Build strong relationships with retail partners to increase brand awareness and sales performance, and support local marketing initiatives and field programs that strengthen On's presence in the running community.
  • Executes Events

Support retail partner events through the execution of product demos, community runs, and brand activations that deliver a premium experience.
  • Market Intelligence & Field Reporting

Act as On's eyes and ears in market. Perform competitive analysis, track marketplace trends and consumer behavior, and translate observations into timely, actionable reporting and recommendations for the broader On team.
Qualifications
  • Direct experience working in specialty running retail.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • Personal connection to running culture - whether through training, racing, run clubs, or coaching.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple retail locations.
  • Comfortable using mobile technology and digital reporting tools; access to a smartphone or tablet with internet connectivity (iOS 17.0+ or Android 10.0+).
  • Experience in brand representation, retail training, field marketing, or sales preferred.
  • Experience working at REI, Dick's Sporting Goods, or other athletics goods stores preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout assigned territory; weekend availability required.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation at $100 per hour, based on market conditions and relevant experience.
