RQ16771 - Tech Reviews Technologist Analyst
 
  • Department: Communications: Tech Reviews Lab
  • Reports to: Director of Communications – Tech Reviews
  • Hybrid Work Environment – 3 days in-office mandatory in Morrisville, NC
  • Max Pay: $30.00 per hour
 
Overall responsibility:  
Engage and execute technical reviews with industry technology media. Focus on building technical marketing materials and the preparation and testing of Client products, as well as comparing competitor’s products for review readiness. Must have familiarity with new industry technologies, industry benchmark testing, and awareness of subjective testing techniques.
Additionally, will be asked to conduct technical evangelism with the ability to demonstrate and speak to Client products, software, and solutions to the industry media in person and remotely. Prepare background materials such as Reviewer Guides as well speaking points and demo scripts. Attend internal briefings and retain information under company non-disclosure agreements.
Test products per agreed to methodologies that are appropriate, accurate, and reproducible. Record results and perform write-ups explaining the test results. Interact with and support the team’s Media Analysts and work directly with press media when required. Additionally, technical support and troubleshooting of products as appropriate.
Key areas of responsibility:
  • Knowledge and expertise in PCs, Servers, and various other products.
  • Maintain established testing procedures
  • Document test procedures and results
  • Become proficient in running industry standard benchmarks.
  • Develop new testing procedures when required.
  • Analyzes the produced metrics in terms of appropriateness for the review.
  • Works directly with brand development and performance teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Provides support to Tech Review’s Analysts for technical information.
  • First line of tech support to the technology media.
  • Be competitively aware and test competitor products.
  • Prepares appropriate product background information.
  • Review published Review results and compare them to our lab results.
  • Maintain test equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge and or experience.
  • Knowledge of Android, Linux, MS Windows, and some familiarity with Apple OS.
  • Use of AI tools
  • Knowledge of Network File Protocols
  • Proficient with productivity software as well as Android, Chrome and Windows-based hardware systems.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
  • Strong sense of customer service.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel world-wide for trade shows and industry events.

Pay Details: $30.00 per hour
