Overview:
The Events Manager plays a pivotal role in bringing Fleet Feet's community-focused expos and pop-up shops to life. This position oversees the full scope of expo and pop-up shop planning and execution, ensuring every detail reflects our commitment to exceptional service and brand integrity.
Reports to: Operating Partner
Full-Time (Hourly, 40 hours per week; hours may increase during event weeks)
What You'll Do:
  • Event Planning and Execution: You will plan and execute pop-up shops and expo retail events from initial concept to completion, serving as a primary point of contact for logistics, communication, event set-up and tear-down.
  • Cross-functional Communication: You will collaborate with store leaders, event organizers and vendors on event logistics and planning in a way that builds and maintains strong relationships and brand representation.
  • Inventory and Operational Management: You will assist in the coordination of event inventory needs, including merchandise, supplies, equipment, and promotional materials.
  • Brand Enthusiast: You will create welcoming, memorable experiences that bring the brand to life and connect with our customers and communities, representing the brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, even operations, retail activations, trade shows, expos, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable to varying work schedules, including evenings and weekends during key events throughout the year
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, and carrying as the need arises
  • Running industry experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements: Position requires occasional moving around with light (1-10lbs.) carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling. The position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office equipment, etc. The position is mostly sedentary and requires the employee to have close visual acuity to perform job requirements. The position requires frequent communication with team members and repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and/or fingers while constantly utilizing a computer. This position is located within an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
