What is a roofing assistant?

A roofing assistant supports roofers by helping with tasks such as carrying materials, setting up equipment, and assisting with installation or repairs. It is typically a labor-intensive position that may involve working at heights and in various weather conditions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Roofing Assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Roofing Assistant, you need physical stamina, basic construction knowledge, and experience with hand and power tools, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Reliability, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills help you stand out in this physically demanding role. These competencies ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards in challenging outdoor environments.
