NAVA Software solutions is looking for a Database Administrative Manager
Details:
Database Administrative Manager
Location: Spring TX - 3 days/week
Duration: 6 months C2H
Manage and set direction for the Database and Application Server Administration team in support of critical enterprise application systems. Ensures that staff has necessary tools, training and information needed to provide technical support to application development teams and end-users of the organization.
Interacts with each levels of the organization with clear communication and commitment. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks, leads and directs the work of others and enforces the policies and procedures to ensure service delivery.
Job Duties/Roles
  • Ensure that Database and Application Server Administrators are performing their duties to provide high quality support.
  • Meet and confer with each levels of ABS Management and IMS personnel to coordinate efforts and to ensure completion of deliverables.
  • Manages multiple concurrent projects and ensures their completion within agreed-upon schedules and budgets.
  • Provide reports, updates, and feedback from time to time, as requested.
  • Research and propose new technology, techniques, and strategies for improving service delivery.
  • Provide substantial input on overall ABS disaster recovery plan.
  • Prepare related budget projections and plans.
  • Make reports and technical presentations to IMS upper management as required.
  • Interface with IMS server, network, application support and Service Desk personnel as well as internal and external customers.
  • Specify and interact with multiple outside vendors and coordinate vendor services to meet the needs of the ABS business computing environment.
  • Provide guidance and recommend continuing technical and professional development for subordinate staff members.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities through the development of project plans and project management.
  • Able to manage ERP systems and enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Abel to performing system diagnosis and problem solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others at each levels of the corporation.
  • Data analysis and modeling.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment with little supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
Minimum years of Experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Extensive knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems and software toolsets for database administration and application server administration.
