Job Requirements
Position Summary
The RN Data Set Coordinator is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team who functions as a liaison between the patient, family, and staff. Coordinates all aspects of Federal regulatory data set completion assuring accuracy and adherence to mandated completion times. Provides and understand the specific communication, development, treatment needs of patients, families, and visitors ranging in age from early adult to late adult.
Previous MDS experience in long-term care setting is strongly preferred for this role.
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in South Carolina

Experience
  • 1-2 years of healthcare experience

License/Registration/Certifications
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina

Preferred Requirements
Preferred Education
  • Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing

Preferred Experience
  • 1+ year experience in MDS Coordinator role in long-term care setting
  • 3 or greater years of healthcare experience
  • 1 - 2 years CMS Assessment Tool experience

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications
  • MDS Certification

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date data set manual, reviewing, and revising of the data set policies and procedures, as appropriate
  • Ensures the completion of necessary documentation by all disciplines for the completion of the patients data set
