Responsibilities
Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinate CPR classes and publish available class times as needed by NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC)
  • Prepare CPR instructional areas, including equipment and materials required for the class
  • Complete all paperwork, post-course rosters and maintain records as required by AHA
  • Provides a range of nursing services, including preventive health care counseling
  • Coordinates health care needs and makes referrals to medical specialists
  • Assesses and treats minor health problems
  • Administers emergency treatment
  • Performs advanced cardiac life support
  • Performs limited portions of physical examinations
  • Perform medical evaluations and provide treatments for occupational medical injuries and illnesses within scope of contract effort
  • Perform computer medical data entry: patient visits, treatments and services administered, medical chair/records documentation
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certified Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 2 Years Registered Nurse Experience
  • Current RN License - Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Maintain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Course C
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider certification
  • Possess current American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor certification and stay current in the AHA curriculum and standards to maintain professional certification.
  • Possess strong soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem solving, organization, resourcefulness, flexibility, conflict management, critical thinking, work ethic, etc.).
