We are looking for an experienced and passionate Project Risk Manager / Project Risk Controller to join our team and support a diverse range of capital projects within highly regulated industries. This position will be in Zebulon , NC. We are flexible with providing travel accommodations for candidates who need it.


What you'll do:

As an MIGSO-PCUBED Project Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in driving robust risk management practices across complex capital projects. You will support project teams and leadership by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks while ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will act as a trusted advisor, enabling informed decision-making and strengthening project delivery through proactive risk management.

As an MP Consultant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work across diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and infrastructure
  • Support large-scale, complex capital projects throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Partner with project teams and leadership to drive risk-informed decision making
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Project Controls and Risk Management frameworks
  • Develop strong client relationships while expanding MP’s footprint across engagements

Your responsibilities will include:

Project Risk Management & Delivery

  • Lead and support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across project lifecycles
  • Facilitate risk workshops and engage stakeholders to proactively identify project risks (technical, commercial, operational, and external)
  • Develop and maintain risk registers using tools such as 12C and other risk management systems
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations
  • Support the development and implementation of risk response and contingency plans
  • Continuously monitor, update, and report on project risks, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders

Project Controls & Lifecycle Accountability

  • Ensure effective Project Controls setup and assurance across all project phases (concept through handover)
  • Support Project Management Framework (PMF) requirements including health checks, peer reviews, and independent project reviews
  • Drive “management by exception” analysis to support performance monitoring and course correction
  • Contribute to Supply Chain Review Board (SCRB) reporting and governance requirements

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Build strong relationships with project teams, risk owners, contractors, and senior stakeholders
  • Present risk insights, reports, and recommendations clearly and effectively
  • Act as a point of contact for all risk-related matters across projects
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams, leadership, and external partners

Strategic Risk & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and drive enterprise-level risk management strategies and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk management processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Promote a risk-aware culture across project teams and organizations
  • Capture lessons learned and implement best practices across future projects

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Align risk management practices with quality systems and compliance requirements
  • Stay informed on evolving regulations and industry standards impacting project risks


What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8–15+ years of experience in Project Controls, Risk Management, or Capital Project Delivery
  • Strong expertise in Project Risk Management fundamentals and methodologies
  • Experience with quantitative risk analysis tools
  • Deep understanding of project scheduling, cost management, and project execution planning
  • Proven experience working across full project lifecycles in complex environments
  • Strong knowledge of Monte Carlo analysis and 3-point estimation techniques
  • Familiarity with Project Management Frameworks (PMF) and capital project governance
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or manufacturing) preferred
