About The Role
The Treasury Risk Specialist is responsible for supporting the bank's Treasury Management risk and control environment. This position monitors Treasury Management activity, identifies potential risks and unusual transactions, and ensures Treasury services are administered in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
This role plays a vital part in protecting both the bank and its customers. The Treasury Risk Specialist serves as a key resource for identifying and mitigating risks associated with Treasury services while helping ensure customers can safely and effectively utilize ACH, Wire, Positive Pay, and other Treasury Management products and services. This is a Full-Time, Hourly, Onsite position.ย

Key Responsibilities
  • Review ACH, Wire, Remote Deposit Capture, and other Treasury-related activity for exceptions, operational risks, and potential exposure.
  • Analyze transaction patterns and account activity to identify operational risk.
  • Assist in establishing, reviewing, and maintaining Treasury risk controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Review and monitor ACH and Wire limits, user entitlements, access permissions, and other Treasury service controls.
  • Collaborate closely with Relationship Officers to promptly resolve risk-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of Treasury Annual Reviews, findings, recommendations, and resolutions.
  • Assist with audits, examinations, risk assessments, and internal control reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Treasury processes and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure all activities comply with bank policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist with customer and employee education regarding Treasury risk controls and best practices.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

About You
Qualifications & Skills
Required
  • 2+ years of experience in banking, Treasury Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ACH and Wire transactions and related banking processes.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and unusual activity.
  • Ability to handle confidential customer and bank information with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Preferred
  • Experience with Treasury Management products and services.
  • Knowledge of applicable ACH Rules, Wire requirements, and banking regulations.
  • Previous experience in a Treasury Operations or Treasury Risk role.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Banking, Treasury Management, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
