From June 2nd - September 11th, 2026, interns will participate in an immersive, hands-on experience at a leading global, diversified media, information, and services company. This cohort will include interns at Hearst Television, Fitch Group, Hearst Magazines and Hearst Corporate

The reasonable estimate for this position is $30-35/hour. This will be a hybrid role. The intern will be expected to report to Fitch's office at 300 West 57th St.

in Manhattan three days a week. About The Team The Americas Country Risk team is a dynamic group of five analysts responsible for producing ten-year forecasts in over 35 markets across the region. Our work blends rigorous macro-political analysis with sharp regional insight.

Alongside regular written commentary, we engage directly with diverse clients, offering tailored briefings and presentations on everything from long-term growth and fiscal trajectories to topical issues like security risks in the Andean region or Foreign Exchange (FX) volatility in Argentina. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities): Support the Americas Country Risk Team, helping the team with the collection of data; the update and rollout of internal models; and the preparation of certain client deliverables including but not limited to presentations and briefings Publish a series of research notes focused on economic and political developments in the Caribbean Undertake a separate, month-long research project on a topic of your choosing, but related to macroeconomic developments in the Caribbean This Role May Be a Good Fit if You: You have a degree in economics, political science or a closely related field You have a deep appreciation and passion for economic / political analysis, particularly as it pertains to the Americas Preferred (Not Required): Fluent spoken and written Spanish / Portuguese Strong analytical skills and analytical writing ability such as experience reviewing information, identify patterns and writing clear summaries Ability to work with and analyze large data sets Experience of programming in R and/or Python and strong skills in quantitative analysis, including data manipulation, statistical modeling, and visualization About Fitch At Fitch Group, the combined power of our global perspectives is what differentiates us.
