Job description

The Respiratory Therapist works under the direction of the Respiratory Director to assist the healthcare team in the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders affecting the heart and lungs. The Respiratory Therapist performs cardiopulmonary technology duties, provides advanced life support for patients, administers inhaled drugs and medical gasses, performs various tests to measure cardiopulmonary functions and assesses for sleep disordered breathing, provide education and guidance to patients regarding cardiopulmonary health and provide other treatments and responsibilities within the scope of the licensure of a Respiratory Therapist.
